giddy-up... @ the dentist round two
I realize that most mom's don't take this many pictures at the dentist but I did post Liam's very first dentist appointment, where they ended up just doing a 'fun visit' because he was so nervous about it all! Then he had a dentist appointment two days after we got home from Hawaii and so much was going on and I was still in travel mode that I completely FORGOT... so, fast forward to today.... Liam did great and better than that he has great teeth with no cavities!!! He is also the youngest age (4) we have ever taken a child to the dentist! Good job Liam :)
I told Cole to 'hold on' so he was being a bit silly :)
Cole having his own turn (and determined to put the money in himself - the quarters are supplied by the office and they just keep recycling them! A nice bonus since most of those crazy rides are $1 now)

... a 'fun' visit
Yesterday, I took the oldest three boys to the dentist for cleanings & check-ups. Liam was so nervous & fidgity about the whole thing, that his hygenist just told me that she would do a 'fun visit' for his first time (no charge). She was soooo good with him & just let him look at all the instruments - showed him how they worked & what they were for. She sprayed water into a little cup & let him suction it out etc. He had taken his Pound Puppy along for the ride & was even able to apply some 'dentist moves' to the dog! At the beginning, he was given a new toothbrush & she asked him to show her how he brushed his teeth. Then she said, "Can you show me how you brush the back teeth?", to which he looked at her VERY puzzled and slowly started to move his tooth brush to HIS back! So she pointed to the back of his mouth & kind of showed him with the tooth brush! It was pretty cute! This is a family dentist office and they have a couple 'stations' set up just for kids, if you note some of the wall decor. I also love that they are open on Wednesday nights and some Saturdays, making it easier for me to get to the dentist too :) We are VERY impressed with how great they are with the kids though - always a bonus!
