Sickies
The kids have been flipping back & forth taking turns with the flu so we're having an interesting week! Puky bedding (extra laundry) is just what I need as I'm packing up the house! As it turned out we didn't make it to the Christmas concert last night but no worries - we will get our cans to the food bank yet!!! Thanks to everyone who participated! Jackson was able to attend one concert with his class on Tuesday afternoon and then both kids were supposeed to go Wednesday night (Ethan was also to do Wed afternoon) but since I kept Ethan home, we decided not to go at all, being that Miles also had a dentist appt at 7:30pm too! New pictures are on the house blog... stay tuned for moving day :)

Gingerbread Houses
I had the priveledge this afternoon of joining Jackson's class to make 'gingerbread houses' - AKA a milk carton covered in graham crackers! Each child had a parent, grandparent or other relative/friend join them to help out! We also made a bead wreath craft together and got to wander the school halls to check out the various classromm decorations. It's always fun to have some special one on one time with the boys :)
There was a display of all the teachers in the front entrance - one of the students designed the bodies and then added the heads of the teachers! It was cute and since Ethan (right) & Jackson's (left) teachers were side by side, I thought I'd take a picture!

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We interrupt the party broadcast to bring you pictures from our most recent hair cutting adventure... apparently a certain someone found the scissors that I had tucked away amongst 'stuff' on the kitchen counter, after wrapping presents earlier today - sometime after supper & before bed, he tried a little 'snipping' of his own! We were sitting on the couch watching tv and he crawled up on my lap... awhile later he leaned back & I got a view of his head upside down:
Mommy: "Did you cut your hair??? "
Liam: (with much excitement & emphasis) "YESSSSSS!!!!!"
I'm afraid it was one of those moments where the parents are caught off guard and laughing totally ruined any discipline that was possibly about to take place! I did explain that scissors were DANGER and that only mommy or Seth & Cale's mommy (our hairdresser) was allowed to do hair snip-snip... I'm not convinced that actually sunk in but I am glad that we all have REAL haircuts scheduled for Tuesday :) We have already been through this once already this fall, when Jackson decided to try out his new scissors @ school...

cards n' towels...
We went to a birthday party this afternoon, for three year old twins, Seth & Cale. The party was at a local indoor playground, so of course the boys had a blast!!! There are tunnels, slides, ball pits, you name it... plus a separate room for the babies & toddlers, so they don't get trampled! I'll upload some pictures later but here are the cards I made, as well as some towels that were part of their gift. I found the towels at Home Outfitters (I think) and loved the bright colours, only my boys really didn't need towels because we have some beautiful beach towels for the trailer and I plan on getting their names on some lime green towels for their bathroom in the new house! But.... my friend also has four boys & their rooms are bright colours, so I got them for her boys & figured they could use them at home or for the trailer - my mother-in-law embroidered them for me at Thanksgiving. Did I mention that I love the bright colours :)
