In Memory

Yesterday my only grandpa & my boys' only great-grandpa passed away. He wasn't a saint by any means but he was fun loving, had a good sense of humour, loved children & has a special place in all our hearts. We called him 'Morfar' which means mothers father in Norweigan. We got to see him in November when we were last out to BC so that means a lot to me & I even got a picture with him & Cole, his newest great grandchild! Morfar's name is 'Ole' and he told me that I spelled Cole's name wrong!!!! The boys will always remember Morfar by this phrase: "god dag god dag og takk for sist" which is literally translated to, "good day, good day and thank you for the last" (meaning last visit, last time we were together etc)... he would say this and shake their hand! My fondest memories of him are of him puttering around his home & acerage on Hartland Ave., where he would feed the chickens, turkeys, pigs, cats etc.... and of course chop wood! Morfar... thank you for the memories og takk for sist!
