... a 'fun' visit

Yesterday, I took the oldest three boys to the dentist for cleanings & check-ups. Liam was so nervous & fidgity about the whole thing, that his hygenist just told me that she would do a 'fun visit' for his first time (no charge). She was soooo good with him & just let him look at all the instruments - showed him how they worked & what they were for. She sprayed water into a little cup & let him suction it out etc. He had taken his Pound Puppy along for the ride & was even able to apply some 'dentist moves' to the dog! At the beginning, he was given a new toothbrush & she asked him to show her how he brushed his teeth. Then she said, "Can you show me how you brush the back teeth?", to which he looked at her VERY puzzled and slowly started to move his tooth brush to HIS back! So she pointed to the back of his mouth & kind of showed him with the tooth brush! It was pretty cute! This is a family dentist office and they have a couple 'stations' set up just for kids, if you note some of the wall decor. I also love that they are open on Wednesday nights and some Saturdays, making it easier for me to get to the dentist too :) We are VERY impressed with how great they are with the kids though - always a bonus!

Looking at how the big light works

Checking his teeth in the mirror

Using the little mirror and the 'air' sprayer

Pound Puppy 'helping' out, getting suctioned... note that Liam has one foot over the side at all times, ready to bolt!!! (and of course the sticker on the bottom of his shoes, that screams 'new'!)

The polisher

A horsie ride in the waiting room at the end of it all :)

That's a fun place, horse ride in the waiting room, who wouldn't want to go to the dentist! Where is that? I'm not looking, since I really like my dentist, but just curious!

Brushing his back, that's tooo cute!! Total scrapbook moment!! Fun times!
