{BOYS}

Saturday was Liam's 4th birthday party. We had a total of 13 little boys at the house, ranging from ages 2 months to 7 1/2 years! (and a total of six moms - we won't mention ages here). It's kind of nice that a few of our friends have ALL boys too! Last year, I had picked up a whole bunch of Tonka truck & construction themed party supplies and was going to have Liam's party 'after we sold the house'... well the house didn't end up getting listed until the very end of July and then sold in November so I definitely was NOT going to resurrect a third birthday party for a child who didn't even know that he didn't get a party! (We did have an ice cream cake on the day & presents from family, so it was all good!) Fast forward to his fourth birthday...

The CAKE: a new, clean, washed out dump truck lined with saran-wrap contained cubes of chocolate cake layered with chocolate pudding and oreo crumbs! Best tasting DIRT ever (not to mention the easiest birthday cake I've ever made too!)

The BALLOONS

The PARTY SUPPLIES

The CRAFT: I printed off some dump trucks, escavators, bulldozers & graders, mounted them on coloured paper and eventually laminated them into placemats, once the boys had coloured, stamped and stickered their masterpieces!

The BIRTHDAY BOY

The PARTY FRIENDS

The CANDLE: he sat way too far back and it took forever for this poor candle to blow out!!!

The PRESENTS

The 'HELPERS'

The DIRT PILE: the boys were all told to wear play clothes so that they could go out to the big dirt pile behind the house afterwards! It was a huge delight, for obvious reasons :)

The BROTHERS

The GOODIE BAGS: Cole slept through the entire party but was thrilled to wake up to a goodie bag of trucks and smarties! He couldn't quite figure his 'blower' out but it was fun to watch him try! PS: the goodie bag shown is the 'toddler' version for some of the younger brothers in attendance!
