New glasses

I think I mentioned previously, that Jackson needed glasses. When I took him for his four year immunizations & pre-kindergarten testing, the nurse and I decided that I better book an actual eye exam. I was able to get him in to my optometrist on April 26th and the conclusion was indeed... GLASSES! We picked them out that day & were able to pick them up on the following Friday. I think he looks great & that they suit him even, but like any kid would be, he's self-conscious & embarrassed about them. "But what if people laugh at me?" I asked him if they laugh at the girl in his class (no), do they laugh at his teacher (no), do they laugh at mommy (no)... "but you're a girl". So then I realized that he thinks that glasses are for girls! I've been pointing out all the guys we know with glasses but it's still a bit of a struggle! Wish me luck! When we picked his glasses up, he had the choice of a red, blue or yellow case and being that yellow is his fave colour, he grabbed that one right away! He then told Ethan, "if you ever get glasses where I got glasses, you can pick a red or blue case!"
